On December 2, 2009 StorQuest Self Storage surprised the employees at its annual company meeting by hosting a non-traditional charity event to support One Warm Coat. Equipped with any army of 65 participants, the objective of the day long activity was simple: support One Warm Coat by collecting coats off the streets of Los Angeles from as many people as possible. The group collected over 150 coats literally off the backs of those walking around the streets of Los Angeles. Through the month of December, StorQuest Self Storage is utilizing its 45 facilities as designated One Warm Coat drop off locations to collect unwanted coats for those in desperate need during the cold winter months. At the end of the month, all coats will be donated to homeless shelters within StorQuests local communities including the Los Angeles Mission, Marthas Vineyard, Bay Area Rescue Mission, Pomona Youth, Colorado Youth at Risk and the Central Arizona Shelter. At various locations, StorQuest will be offering 1 month free off of a storage unit simply by donating a coat.
